During these Marian feasts of the Immaculate Conception of the Virgin Mary and Our Lady of Guadalupe, Franciscan Sisters of Christian Charity pray with various dioceses through Mary’s intercession and share images that encourage a relationship with the Mother of Jesus who offers her protection. Here we pause and join our prayers with Our Lady of Guadalupe Pastorate at St. James Church, Madison, Wisconsin. and St. Andrew the Apostle Parish, Sierra Visita, Arizona, Diocese of Tucson.

Diocese of Madison

Mary said: “Are you not under my protection”. We also remember her words to Juan Diego, “Do this be assured of it in your heart, my littlest one, that I myself, I am the entirely and ever Virgin Saint Mary, Mother of the true Divinity, God Himself; because of Him, life goes on, creation goes on; His are all things afar, His are all things near at hand, things above in the heavens, things here below on the earth…here shall I make well and heal up their each and every kind of disappointment, of exhausting pangs, of bitter aching pain.”

Prayer

Our Blessed Mother Mary, Our Lady of Guadalupe, is a comfort and strength to us. As seen in these beautiful images from Our Lady of Guadalupe Pastorate St. James site, Madison, Wisconsin. Her peaceful presence is one of strength. She stands with us; she teaches us how to pray and wait. We pray for her intercession for those in desperate need, the people of Ukraine, Palestine, Nigeria, the Congo, Syria among others, the immigrants being expelled and their families, those who are hungry and cold along with the sick and suffering. May she teach us how to stand with our brothers and sisters, to give support and strength that they may know that they belong in God’s kingdom.

Amen.
