Associate Carol Gronewold passed on September 10.

Carol credited her two years at Clarke as having “changed my life — I found a culuture and religion that have inspired me throughout my life.” Attending a Benefactor’s Mass at Mount Carmel in 2013 is where she discovered BVM Associates. Then after attending a CARMA event in 2015 and a retreat at the motherhouse, she was ready to begin discernment with her companion, Karen Conover, BVM via Skype.
Over the years, Carol was an active participant in retreats, CARMA, and special Masses, and assemblies. In her local communitiy she was an active volunteer in her parish, local hospital, museum, and V.A. as a driver for veterans. In her later years she had to scale back activities but kept up a dedicate prayer life.
