133 Notes of Gratitude for Sisters
In honor of National Catholic Sisters Week, 133 handwritten thank-you notes were mailed to Sisters in the Western Province of the Sisters of Charity of Nazareth. Each card carried a simple message of appreciation for the lives and ministries of the Sisters.
The notes came from people who wanted to recognize the witness of women who answered God’s call and continue to serve others each day.
Many writers spoke about the impact Sisters have had on their lives.
One card read, “Thank you for saying yes to God’s calling. Your ministry and service make a difference.”
Another shared, “I wanted to take a moment to express my deep gratitude for your life and ministry. You have touched many lives.”
Others offered prayers and encouragement. One message said, “Thank you for sharing your gifts and your love with all of us. You are in our prayers.”
Another wrote, “You are a gift to our hearts and a blessing to the world.”
Catholic Sisters Week offers a moment to recognize the quiet work that shapes communities, classrooms, hospitals, and ministries across the globe. The handwritten notes reflect that. The lives of Sisters matter to the Church and to the many people they serve.
As the Church continues the Lenten season, these messages also echo a Gospel call. Christ invites people to serve with humility and care for neighbors, especially those who are poor or overlooked. The lives of the Sisters remain a clear sign of that call each day.
