Celebrating Our Earth

What better way to celebrate Earth Day than by spending time outdoors in the garden? S. Winnie Brubach and the Garden Ladies were hard at work on April 22, planting flowers and vegetables while preparing the garden for the upcoming season. The group lovingly maintains EarthConnection’s raised beds and organic vegetable plots, growing tomatoes, okra, peppers, cabbage, lettuce, peas, and kale. Each year, their efforts yield an impressive 800 to 1,000 pounds of fresh produce – all of which is generously donated.
