Joachim Studwell, OFM and Franciscan Sister of Christian Charity Sr. Mary Ann Spanjers, OSF at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church! They will share with us how each of us is called to live the adventure of faith radically and to experience God through the power of the Holy Spirit within us.
This event falls on the Feast of St. Clare of Assisi, one of the major feasts of the Franciscan tradition. The evening will begin with the celebration of Mass, inviting participants to enter more deeply into the Franciscan spirit before gathering for dinner, fellowship, and an inspiring presentation.
Celebrating the Jubilee Year of the 800th anniversary of St. Francis’ Transitus into eternal life, this presentation and reflection share how St. Francis of Assisi lived out his Baptismal Commitment. Driven by the penetrating simplicity, universality, and joy that the Spirit of the Lord brought to the religious life of the Church, we will use insights from his life and writings, video clips, inspirational music, and group discussion to help us discover the practical implications of living our own call to faith through the grace of the Holy Spirit.
The Executive Speaker Series is a free event open to the public in which executives and consecrated religious share their career and faith journeys with young professionals, challenging them to “Work in Witness for Christ.”
With a penetrating simplicity, the Spirit of the Lord that enters the Christian soul at baptism is the font of grace Francis discovered which led him to God. It is our font of grace as well!
