The CPPS Province of Tanzania, is once more filled with gratitude to God this year 2025 for another group of three Seminarians who were definitively incorporated into the Society. The event took place on Thursday 12th June, at Our Lady of the Precious Blood Kisasa Parish in Dodoma, during the Holy Eucharist presided over by the Provincial Director Fr. Vedasto Ngowi. Many Missionaries were present, most of whom were participating in the Provincial Business Assembly which had started on the 9th June. During his homily he commented on Mt. 9:14-17 where Jesus said: “And no one puts new wine into old wineskins. The old skins would burst from the pressure, spilling the wine and ruining the skins. New wine must be stored in new wineskins. That way both the wine and the wineskins are preserved.”
Fr. Vedasto exhorted the newly incorporated members to be new wine preserved into new wineskins. He reminded all the Missionaries and the faithful of the theme of the XXI CPPS General Assembly which carried this message. He said: I know change is not always easy, yet, in reality, the results can be pretty awesome when we allow God to do it within us. The new members of our congregation will definitively be a new wine with their youthful energy but they are supposed to inter into the CPPS lifestyle always seeking to live faithfully their call and ministry. This is the reason why I have chosen the Memorial Celebration of Bl. John Merlini. This means that we are entrusting them to his intercession and protection; they have in him a vivid example of a Missionary of the Precious Blood, filled with wisdom and counsel, an example of ordinary done extraordinarily. A person with great capacity to read and interpret the signs of the time.
