On Thursday, March 19th, the LIFE seniors came out in their finest to take part in LIFE’s first-ever tea party. Guests were greeted with tables set with crackers and cheese, and a beautiful backdrop for photos. The morning was filled with karaoke, guessing games, a hat competition, and table games while they enjoyed natural teas of ginger, lemongrass, and sage.
While snacking on crackers and cheese and a parfait, the seniors received prizes. Each senior was presented with a tea bag and a scripture quote. After the games, each received a box of tea party snacks. All enjoyed it, and they are hoping to have it again next year!
LIFE (Living Independently in Full Existence) was started in 2014 by Sister Carlette Gentle, SCN, and the Sisters of Charity of Nazareth to improve the quality of life for seniors (over age 60) in Belize City. LIFE helps with social support, food access, minor home repairs, basic medical care, and transportation.
