Nazareth Academy alumnus Shubham Kumar has secured All India Rank 1 (AIR 1) in the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Advanced 2026, one of India’s most competitive engineering entrance exams.
The JEE Advanced serves as the gateway for admission to premier engineering institutions, including the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs), National Institutes of Technology (NITs), and Indian Institutes of Information Technology (IIITs).
Nazareth Academy, Gaya, proudly felicitated Shubham on June 24 in the presence of students, teachers, and members of the Nazareth Old Students’ Association (NOSA). Having studied at the school from preschool through Class X during the 2023-24 academic year, Shubham’s achievement holds special significance for the institution.
Principal Sister Anita Tigga honored Shubham and his parents for this remarkable accomplishment. The event was also attended by Sister Roselyn, chief patron of the Nazareth Old Students’ Association (NOSA), along with other executive members, who conferred lifetime membership in NOSA upon Shubham.
Addressing the students, Shubham shared lessons from his journey, emphasizing consistency, discipline, focused preparation, and faith in the process.
During an interactive session, he answered students’ questions about competitive examinations, study techniques, time management, and career choices.
One of the most inspiring aspects of the event was meeting Shubham’s parents, whose sacrifices and support played an important role in his success. Their journey served as a reminder that behind every great achievement is a family that believes and perseveres.
An emotional highlight came when Shubham reunited with his former teachers. Expressing his gratitude, he credited Nazareth Academy with shaping his character and instilling the values that helped him succeed.
The ceremony concluded with a standing ovation for Shubham, whose historic achievement has brought great pride to the school and will inspire future generations of students. His success reflects perseverance, determination, and the strong educational foundation provided by Nazareth Academy.
