Nazareth Home is celebrating 50 years of ministry and service, honoring a mission that began with the Sisters of Charity of Nazareth in 1976: to care for each person with dignity, compassion, respect and love.

Sister Jackulin Jesu, SCN, president of the Congregation, offered congratulations on behalf of the Sisters of Charity of Nazareth. In her remarks, she recognized the caregivers, staff, board members, volunteers and supporters who have helped carry that mission forward.

Over five decades, Nazareth Home has become a community where residents and families receive care, companionship and support through life’s joys and challenges.

Sister Jacky speaks during a celebration of Nazareth Home’s 50th Anniversary.

“For 50 years, Nazareth Home has lived that call by creating a community marked by warmth, care and a deep sense of belonging,” Sister Jacky said.

Rooted in the spirit of St. Vincent de Paul and St. Louise de Marillac, Nazareth Home’s ministry reflects the call to recognize Christ in others, especially those who need care and companionship. Sister Jacky noted that this Catholic tradition continues through the daily work of those who serve its residents and families.

Their service helps each person feel known, respected and loved. It also carries forward the values the Sisters established at Nazareth Home’s founding, making hospitality and personal attention central to its care.

“In this way, Nazareth Home continues to live out the Gospel message that all are welcome and each person is cared for and valued,” Sister Jacky said.

The anniversary offers an opportunity to thank God for the lives touched by Nazareth Home and to recognize everyone who has contributed to its ministry. It also invites the community to look ahead, carrying its commitment to human dignity into the years to come.

Sister Jacky closed her remarks with a blessing for Nazareth Home’s future: “Congratulations on 50 wonderful years and blessings for the next 50 years!”
