On July 19, 2026, Nazareth Hospital, Mokama, joyfully marked its 78th Foundation Day. This was a sacred milestone in the hospital’s legacy of compassionate healing and selfless service in Mokama and beyond. For nearly eight decades, this institution has stood as a beacon of hope, embodying the healing mission of Christ through the dedicated hands of generations of Sisters, doctors, nurses, and staff.
The day began with the ceremonial planting of Alphonso and Purple Miyazaki mango saplings. These trees, chosen for their strength and fruitfulness, symbolize the hospital’s deep-rooted commitment to growth, sustainability, and nurturing lives, mirroring the way Nazareth Hospital has planted seeds of health, dignity, and faith in the community since 1948. A spirited round of outdoor games followed, uniting staff from every department in laughter, friendly competition, and teamwork. These joyful moments reminded everyone that the true strength of Nazareth Hospital lies not only in medical excellence but in the bonds of fellowship and mutual support that sustain its healing ministry.
As evening fell, the hospital community gathered for a solemn Prayer Service. Hearts united in gratitude for the visionary pioneers, pioneering Sisters, devoted administrators, doctors, nurses, support staff, and generous benefactors whose faith and sacrifice built this house of healing. Special prayers were offered for all who served in the past, those carrying the mission today, and those who will carry it forward. The celebration concluded with a warm fellowship dinner filled with music, sharing, and heartfelt conversations, creating beautiful memories and strengthening the spirit of togetherness that defines Nazareth Hospital.
As we rejoice in 78 years of God’s faithfulness, we recommit ourselves to the noble vocation entrusted to us: to heal bodies, comfort souls, and proclaim hope in every life we touch.
