This year, the Religious Formation Conference turns 70 years old! From its founding in 1954 the Conference has been a pioneer in furthering the education and formation of Catholic sisters. Congregations of male religious began joining in 1976 and have expanded and deepened the RFC’s work.
The organization continued to broaden its mission over the decades to support initial and ongoing formation, and the professional preparation of formators.
The Conference has been blessed with leaders of exceptional foresight, imagination, and dedication. The gifts of board, volunteers, staff, and the support and commitment of our members have helped create the RFC that we know today.
Stay tuned for more information on how we plan to commemorate this milestone in the fall. We’re excited to share more details with you soon!
