The Religious Formation Conference (RFC) in Chicago is looking for a Program Recruiter for its Compromiso de Vida program. This is a paid, contractual ministerial position beginning November 1, 2022, and concluding June 30, 2023. The position is remote and can be done from anywhere in the U.S.A.
Compromiso de Vida is designed from a Hispanic cultural perspective and presented in Spanish. The program invites religious men and women who are discerning or preparing for final vows to share their stories and experiences that have led them to this moment of choice: discerning a lifelong commitment to vowed religious life.
The recruiter's primary responsibility is to actively recruit participants for the upcoming July 2023 Compromiso de Vida virtual program. The ideal candidate will be bilingual, preferably a religious, and able to learn quickly about RFC's mission if s/he is not already familiar with it. The candidate will be able to tell the story of Compromiso de Vida: its purpose, agenda, and benefits. The candidate should have strong communication and interpersonal skills and be able to relate to and connect with other religious communities.
Recruitment could involve but is not limited to virtual informational sessions, direct phone calls, and emails to Spanish-speaking religious communities located in the U.S.A. and Latin America. Follow up to various inquires will be required. Hours will vary from month to month and are scheduled by the individual in concert with the program’s needs, the position’s goals, and the overall budget.
To apply submit (1) a brief letter of interest about why you are a good candidate, (2) a resume, and (3) the names and contact information of two references. Materials should be sent to Brian Michalski, Program Manager, by email at bmichalski@relforcon.org and include “Recruiter” in the subject line. The application deadline is Friday, October 7th.
