Dear Members, Collaborators, and Friends,
We are elated to announce that this year’s recipient of the Mary Emil Penet, IHM Award is Teresa Maya, CCVI, a member of the Congregation of the Sisters of Charity of the Incarnate Word, San Antonio. Sister Teresa’s work in formation and education ministry has been an invaluable gift to the Conference and the wider religious life community. She has presented at numerous RFC programs to rave reviews, both helping clarify who we are called to be as consecrated women and men and supporting the transformation of religious life for the future.
We are grateful for Sister Teresa’s prophetic leadership and are excited to present her the Mary Emil Penet, IHM Award on Saturday, November 11 at Congress.
As her biographical sketch notes, "Her journey with so many groups has made her an 'itinerant preacher'" and that "ongoing formation is her way of life."
