World Mission Sunday — Oct. 19: World Mission Sunday will be celebrated on Sunday, Oct. 19, 2025. In offering our prayers, we join with missionaries everywhere in communion and compassion to support them in spreading the Good News and responding to Christ’s call to feed the hungry and clothe the naked. Pope Leo chose the motto “Missionaries of Hope Among all Peoples.” His message states that we are all called to be in the footsteps of Christ, messengers and builders of hope. Let us remember all our Sisters who tirelessly work in India, Nepal, Botswana, Belize, and Kenya to bring this message of hope. We also give special thanks to the Sisters and Associates who have given of their time and energy to give mission appeals this past summer.
Trick-or-Treat at Nazareth — Oct. 23: The Office of Mission Advancement is again hosting a family-friendly Trick-or-Treat at Nazareth event from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 23. This event is free and open to the public. Campus departments have been invited to set up stations along the Motherhouse grounds for children and families to visit. Additional details on department stations can be found here.
Please be advised that there will be increased vehicle and pedestrian traffic on campus during this event. For the safety of children in the area, Main Avenue in front of the Motherhouse, O’Connell Hall and the Villages will be closed during the event. Orchard Drive and Cemetery Drive will still be accessible. No vehicles will be allowed to enter or exit the O’Connell Hall parking lot between 3:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m.
Corporate Voice: During this Jubilee year in the Catholic Church, Caritas International invites individuals to sign a petition to world leaders asking them to create new ways to solve the debt crisis for the more than 50 countries forced to spend more on debt repayments than their own schools, hospitals, or protecting their communities from climate disasters. To take action, click here. International action is available.
Recycled Greeting Cards: SCNs Paschal Fernicola, Betty Vannucci, and Sarah Ferriell, are making recyclable greeting cards for donations to support missions in India. The Sisters need unused, clean envelopes of various sizes. If you have any to spare, please send any donations to the Sister Services Department at Nazareth. Thank you for supporting their ministry.

Click and See Zoom Sessions: The Office of Charity Connections is launching an exciting new venture: Click and See!
Click and See is an online version of the Come and See program, a time to learn about religious life and connect with women religious. Via Zoom, we will meet monthly with young women interested in religious life. Each meeting will cover a topic related to religious life, with different Sisters leading the conversation.
Click and See will be advertised in Vocation publications and in Catholic media in the United States and Belize. As an online program, we hope to attract women from different locations and diverse backgrounds.
We need your help! If you know of someone from your ministry, family, church, or other organization who might be interested, please reach out to them and invite them to attend a session. Alternatively, you can share their name with the Office of Charity Connections, and we will contact them.
