Amrita Manjaly, SCN is in India, and she visited few SCN communities in Kerala. Every year, the month of June is considered special in Kerala as the monsoon season begins on the first day of June, and the following days, it spreads to other parts of India. Amrita was visiting the SCNs in Kakavayal, Kerala. The sisters and the Pratiksha staff in Kakavayal decided to honor this occasion by planting a sapling with the onset of monsoon in Kerala. Every Keralite waits for this special time of the year, the onset of monsoon to start cultivation. Kerala is famously known as ‘God’s own Country’ with its lush green landscapes, thick, healthy vegetation that thrives in abundant moisture and rich soil. Its vibrant ecosystems encompass flourishing forests, rolling grassy hills, deep jungle pathways, and well-watered meadows.
