Nazareth Academy, Mokama, celebrated Raksha Bandhan in a meaningful and eco-conscious way during their morning assembly on Aug. 8, 2025. The event began with a prayer service that reflected the spirit of love, protection, and unity — the core values of Raksha Bandhan.

As part of the celebration, a tree was planted by the Principal Sister Rose Toppo in the presence of teachers, students, and members of the Nazareth family. In a symbolic gesture of nurturing nature as a sibling, Rakhi’s were lovingly tied to the sapling by the Vice-Principal and school leaders.

Following this, the entire school family took a pledge, promising to protect trees and care for the environment — with the hope that in return, trees will protect future generations.

This unique celebration not only upheld the tradition of Raksha Bandhan but also spread a powerful message of environmental responsibility and love for nature.
