The Religious Formation Conference (RFC) is pleased to announce the hire of Sister Karina Conrad, CDP as the Together Program Coordinator. The Together program is a collaborative partnership between Catholic Theological Union (CTU) and the RFC to offer theological education, formation, and a community-based experience for religious sisters and brothers. The Program Coordinator is responsible for coordinating the formation component and the logistics of this collaborative between the RFC and CTU.
Sister Karina was born and raised in Miami, FL to a Cuban father and Costa Rican mother. She entered the Congregation of the Divine Providence (Pittsburgh, PA) in 2010. She earned a bachelor’s degree in Religious Studies from St. Thomas University (Miami) and completed a dual master’s degree in Professional Counseling and Student Affairs from Carlow University (Pittsburgh) this past May. Sister Karina ministered for many years in Florida doing parish work, religious education, and Latino ministry and more recently in Pittsburgh serving in campus ministry and counseling roles.
The RFC is thrilled Sister Karina has agreed to serve in this exciting role and we look forward to her work with the Together participants in the coming year. Her background and breadth of experience will be invaluable as she accompanies other religious on their journey.
