Dear Friends,

Catholic Sisters Week began in 2014 to honor and highlight the remarkable contributions of Catholic Sisters to the Church and the world. It is celebrated each year from March 8-14, coinciding with International Women’s Day on March 8, and highlighting the leadership, service, and spiritual witness of women religious.

Saint Luke Institute recognizes the many contributions Sisters in the United States have made to the building up of the Church. Sisters have consistently been on the ground serving the most pressing needs of people. They have shown courage and perseverance in the face of oppression and prejudice from forces in both society and the Church. These good and holy women bear witness throughout history that reliance on Divine Providence and an unwavering commitment to mission are at the heart of the discipleship call to service.

As Saint Luke Institute envisions its future through our new strategic plan, Healing Hearts, Renewing Hope: 2030, we remain deeply committed to our legacy of healing, care, and support for our Religious Sisters. Our future services will continue to evolve and innovate to meet the changing needs of women religious today and in the years ahead. In doing so, we follow the long missionary tradition of Sisters who always “went to the people” and served others wherever they were.

On behalf of the Board of Directors and Staff of Saint Luke Institute, we thank and commend our Religious Sisters and pledge our continued support and commitment to their care and well-being.

Sincerely in Christ,

Rev. Patrick J. McDevitt, C.M., Ph.D.
