As we prepare to begin a new year, we are hopeful. Franciscan Sister of Christian Charity Sister Mary Ann Spanjers and Brother Nathan Linton OFM Cap, MIdwest Province, recently presented on The Eucharist Adoration to Action to St. Petronille Young Adults, Glen Ellyn, Illinois. The presentation outlined the movement of one’s heart as seen in the life of St. Francis and St. Clare of Assisi. There were three discussion reflection questions for participants to engage in with each other and time for personal questions, comments and reflections.
Here’s what some of the comments from the participants.
“I enjoyed reflecting upon the questions shared in the pamphlet and learning about the back story of Franciscan Spiritual life”.
” most appreciated the joy and sincerity of the presenters. It was good to hear about how our warts, false desires distract us from what God wants from us.”
“I loved getting to learn more about the Franciscan life. I hope to try and adapt some aspects of it into my own life as a wife and mother.”
“I liked the mix of videos and speaking. It was helpful for keeping focused.”
“Great reminders why we belong and live out what we do as Catholics. Inspiring and enlightening. Re-lighting one’s fire within.”
May the Holy Spirit continue to direct us as pilgrims of hope. Please pray with us.
